　　 Before human being knew how to make fire, human beings ate uncooked food. Crude food was hard to eat and unhealthy. Human being had ever been trying for a long time to preserve fire after some woods caught fire. Finally SuiMuShi invented the way of making fire. He used long sharp stone to drill in wood quickly, and put some dried grass under the wood. During the process of drilling, whick could make sparkle, the flammable grass would get ignited.
　　
　　 SuiMuShi’s invention was so important that human being’s civilization got greatly improved. Thereafter, human beings could eat cooked food that was tasty and healthy. Human beings didn’t ate crude food like wild animal any more, I think, which is big step that primitive lived in real human-like style. SuiMuShi was thus elected king because of his great invention that was a milestone in human history.
　　
　　 Fire always means warm and existence of human. Sometimes when I camp out with some fellows, we always make camp-fire that not only make us feel warm but also let us feel safe. When a single person walks in the desert or deep forest, the sight of fire always makes him expect some people after the long lonely journey.
　　
　　 Fire also means livingness. In the summer moonlit night, people who camp out like to make fire, sitting around it. The fire makes the joyful face more lively. The fire is not for warm and safety, but for putting more livingness into their heart.
　　
　　 Fire means nice things. When we say some girls are hot, I reckon it means that people will catch fire in their hearts when they see the hot-girls. When some books is hot, people like to buy them, I guess, which may stir some sparkle inside their souls. Fire means passion that make people’s hearts hot, fire means love that make people’s heart live.
　　
　　 While fire is great helpful to us, it can be also harmful because of the evil use of it or the carelessness to it. XianYu(项羽) had the legendary Palace burned down , A Pang Gong (阿房宫), which is said to extend 800 miles. The terrorist crashed the World Trade Center, the fire burned down the grand buildings into a ruin. Just couple days ago, the fire burned the forest nearby Athens, threatening to ruin a lot of precious relics.
　　
　　 While we watch movies, the fight-themed movies are always full of sublime fire that destroys everything that it can burn down. Fire means destroying, ruin,mercilessness.
　　
　　 Fire, if being evil used, burns things, love burns heart. Love gives people happiness. But sometimes, love hurt people the most. The betrays of lover, breaking up with friends, the loss of beloved, when love turns into bitterness, love also can ruins anyone.
　　
　　 It seems that what gives us the greatest happiness sometimes hurts us most if we can’t use them in the right way.

　　 Last evening, when I talked about the nest on the little laurel in my yard, my wife seemed very surprised. She had no idea that there was a little nest on the smalll tree. But I noticed the nest as soon as the bird began to build it. I have long a special feeling for birds.
　　
　　 My wife must also not know that our human beings’ houses had ever been on trees like those of birds. In the ancient time, human was threatened from not only the lackness of foods but also the attack from fierce animals. In order to avoiding the attacks from animals, human once lived in caves, because of the moisture of cave, which was found improper. The needs of safe and healthy dwelling made the greatest architect, YouChaoShi(有巢氏).
　　
　　 YouChaoShi invented the way of building house on trees, thus, human being in the anticent time could sleep safely at night. YouChaoShi became famous for his invention, and he was elected as the king.
　　
　　 My daughter told me that she saw a mouse climbed into the nest on the laurel and stole eggs. I wondered what the Nests of ancient humman beings were like. Did other animals can climb onto it and steal their babies?
　　
　　 YouChaoShi’s invention made it possible that the population of human grew quickly. Human made another big progress in their struggling of lives.
　　
　　 Now modern buildings are more and more grand and strong, while the birds are still nesting on the trees. Once both human beings and birds nested in the woods, and human admired the flying ability of bird. Now human beings’ planes are also flying in the sky, though they are not as agile as the birds.
　　
　　 As time passes, human grows more and more civilized and powerful, but the other animals seem stay motionless in the process of evolution. And the woods, on which the birds are nesting and other animals are living, are destroying by human beings. Fortunately, human begins to realize that it’s important to live peacefully with animals. I wonder whether our awakening from self-conceit and greediness is late or not. But, it’s better than not.
　　
　　 Although the houses on trees in the ancient time were rough and crude, but there is no modern architect who can claim to be more greater than YouCahoShi whose invention kept human beings of ancient time from being attacked by animals at night. The modern buildings are more and more pompous, and tending to satisfy human beings’ endless desire instead of only providing safe and healthy dwellings.

　　 One of my cousins is attending some classes for getting a diploma. In my view of point, such a diploma is useless. Most students buy it not study to get it. Whatever the quality of such a diploma is, students have to attend exams. My cousin has been worried for the exam of English.
　　
　　 Last year, she said that she would really have to get a start for her English. At the end of last year, when I asked her of her English-learning, she said that she didn’t start it yet, and she would began after her wedding. She told me that she was going to learn English a week after her wedding this year. However, when I met her a month later, I was told that she didn’t put any effort in learning English.
　　
　　 Last month, my cousin asked me to lend her some English books. I thought she must be serious with her English-learning this time. Just I was wondering what let her make her mind to began to learn English. She told me the exam of English was set at September this year. She looked very worried because she knew it’s really hard to make some substantial improvement in her English in three months.
　　
　　 Many people’s attitude of doing things is just like the old story of a sparrow building her nest. The sparrow always postponed her plan of building nest, but she didn’t build her nest when the cold winter came. She died from the coldness in the winter because she didn’t have a warm nest.
　　
　　 My cousin must heard the story like most people. But the consequence is not bad as to the death of the sparrow who failed to nest. So a lot of people always put off their plans, actually, they haven’t done them when they get very old, in the wind of their lives. They would then regret what it would like of their lives if they had done their good plans.
　　
　　 It’s the most important to do it now if we have a plan that we think it good for us. Even if we can’t reach the goal of our plans, we can also attain something precious during the course of our trying. We then make new plans with the light of our acquired experience from the fulfilment of the old plans.
　　
　　 The sparrow died from the coldness in the winter never knows the next beautiful spring.

　　 There was once a little dog lived by a forest. His name was Puppy. Puppy was a happy guy. He was very kind to everybody, and he was very handsome. Puppy had many friends, they often took adventures in the deep forest together. Leo was also one of his friends, and he liked to play with Leo most.
　　
　　 Leo was a strong huge lion, he looked very masculine and formidable. Puppy admired Leo’s air very much, he was one of Leo’s fans. Puppy admired Leo more once after he watched Leo stand on the top of the mountain at the first ray breaking through the sky, roaring profoundly. Puppy was fascinated with Leo’s majesty. Especially, he was impressed greatly with the thick long brown whiskers of Leo, which rippled in the fresh air, furthering the dignity of the forest king. “How noble and majesty he looks like!” Puppy said to himself, “What would I look like if I had whiskers like that?”
　　
　　 Thereafter, the idea haunted Puppy all the time. He even dreamt it every night. His friends laughed at him because of his absence of mind. They thought he must have been fallen in love with some girl. One day, Puddy decided that he must do something. He bought some brown hairs, then he began to glue them into a wreath of hairs. Looking in the mirror, he set the wreath on his head. Scanning himself in the mirror, Puppy felt very happy. Now he was a little lion.
　　
　　 Puppy called Leo and told that he would go to the top of the mountain with him next morning. Leo was very surprised to see Puppy’s strange looking. He almost couldn’t believe he was Puppy if he didn’t hear his voice. “Wow, you look very odd, but your false whisker-wreath is really live.” Leo said. Puppy felt a flow of warmth got through his body, he didn’t feel cold any more. He smiled happily yet a little embarrassedly.
　　
　　 Having reached the top, Leo began to roar. Puppy followed him, but his voice turned out to be bark. Leo turned around, looking at his friend in a funny air for a minute. Leo said:”Although your voice betrays your likeness of a lion, but it’s deep and rich. Let’s roar in one voice.”
　　
　　 They played their roaring-game joyfully until they were sweating. Then they decided it’s time to go down the moutain. In the halfway, they met Ginger, a pretty fox. At the sight of Puppy ridiculous false whiskers, Pupply himself didn’t know, which was dropping off, Ginger smirkered. “Are you old ? Puppy, your whiskers seem to be peeling.” Ginger mocked at Puppy. Pubby lips trembled in anger. “Do you really think of youself a lion with the false hairs ? You are really a poor self-deceiving boy. How vain you are !” Ginger continued.
　　
　　 “Oh, it’s Mr.Smart. Puppy is playing with me. His false whiskers are only for fun. Pubby never think he was a lion, and he never speaks and does against what he says. But you always think you are the cleverest guy in this forest, and you always do in secret completely different from what you speak. Now Let me prove that how self-conceited you are!” Leo ate the fox as soon as his voice dropped.
　　
　　 Leo turned to his friend, smiling, and said:” I never judge a guy from his looking, I judge everthing from its inside and contents.”

　　 It’s about 10:20 this morning when my daughter called me. “I am very disappointed with you, daddy.” said she. “Why ?” I asked. “Do you know what I am doing ?” asked she. “Let me guess. You are watching TV, or you are cleaning.” I answered. “No, you can never know it. I am gluing the maggots with tape in the sitting-room.”
　　
　　 “What ? Maggots !” I asked in a great surprising tone.
　　 “Yes, maggots. It’s because of your laziness. The wastebin has not been cleared for at least two weeks. There are so many maggots in the garbage bin that they squirmed out of it, scattering on the floor of the sitting-room.” my daughter’s voice raised a octachord.
　　 “Oh, I’m so sorry, my sweetheart. Please forgive me. I am lazybone. I promise I will clear the wastebin every day hereafter.” I said very sincerely.
　　
　　 Yes, I am really too lazy. I often excuse myself with that I am buzy. In fact, I don’t want to do any housework, because I think that my wife is supposed to do more housework. But she spends most of her free time on the Internet, chatting, playing games and watching movies. My wife hates my learning of English, on which my daughter supports me. She thinks that learning English or reading books is more important than chatting or playing games on the Internet. However, my wife doesn’t agree with my daughter, so she doesn’t do housework either.
　　
　　 Therefore, the indolence of us leaves our rooms in a great mess. If someone wants to visit my home, I always refuse him or her, because my home is just like a stall. It’s a shame to say that, but the maggots make me reach to the climax of disgrace.
　　
　　 As a matter of fact, there are too many of such shameful things happened in my home. I am really very uncomfortable at first, but now I am getting used to it. Perhaps, I should struggle for a change of that for the sake of my daughter. She is following a too bad example of us, and she will be the victim of our indolence if I don’t do something.
　　
　　 Before getting married, people should really take seriously with the failing of their lovers. The saying of “love makes people blind” is great. Whenever I blame my wife of her laziness, she will retort me like this:”I am lazy, you are lazy too. besides, I have told you that I am very lazy before we got married.” Her stronghold of defending her laziness is far beyond my ability to defeat it. So I have to bear all the mess of my house if I don’t want to do housework either.
　　
　　 It’s good message that my daughter seems to be getting a little laborious.
