　　 Twelve silkworms have stayed for only four days at their home of paper-box that I prepared for them . Everyday morning , I change the paper cushion on which is full of waste of the little lovely creatures , i observe , through which those little thing have good digestion. I feed them with two or three mulberry leaves that i have bought sunday kept under a cool place . I have a blurry memory of what I have learned from farmer when i was a kid that silkworm can’t eat dewy mulberry leaves , though I have to sprinkle the leaves some water to keep them from withering . So I have to dry the leaves with clean handkerchief before i feed them . the silkworms seem to have a very good appetite , and the way they eat mulberry leaves is very grace as well as artistic . Many small hole left the leaves are all almost in the same size , as neat and beautiful as they are embroidering a delicate thing instead of eating their foods .
　　
　　 At the beginning , my interesting of feeding the twelve silkworms is great deal. But , only three day passed , my interesting decrease sharply to the point of being a burden. Not because i don’t like silkworms , but feeding silkworms worry me . I have thought it’s an easy thing to feed twelve silkworms , but after two days , it proves i am wrong . I have no knowledge about how to raise silkworms and I have no patience enough to care for them as well as supposed to be .
　　
　　 In fatc , feeding only twelve silkworms is absolutely not a tough things , but what make me feel it to be ? Partly because i can’t get much mulberry leaves to feed them , but , mainly because I lack of true scientific curiosities , i image , which is that i want exactly my daughter to have much more of that character than me . Sometimes I believe science is as great as the Lord.
